Shannon’s connection to New England’s coastal communities shines through every page. She researched June Baby while working on Block Island and waiting tables in tourist towns, bringing an authenticity that readers have embraced. She earned her MFA from the University of New Hampshire, where she also taught creative writing, and her short fiction has appeared in The Saturday Evening Post. She now lives on New Hampshire’s rocky seacoast.
Our Before the Beach series has become one of the joys of summer in Perkins Cove…a relaxed, intimate morning where readers gather on our front porch to enjoy conversation with remarkable authors before heading off to the beach or exploring Ogunquit.
